Cadillac unveils ATS-V
by Brad Diamond
Whereas Lexus is slightly more bashful about who it’s chasing with the launch of the RC F, Cadillac makes no mistake: The automaker has its sights set on BMW with the redesigned ATS-V.
If our test drive of the 2015 BMW M4 proved anything, it’s that catching the descendant of this segment’s creator is easier said than done.
Luckily, Cadillac is throwing everything at its German adversary and the some.
How much ‘some?’
About 640-horsepower and 630 lb.ft. of torque, thanks to the 2016 ATS-V’s supercharged 6.2-litre V8.
With enough guts to run from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, we like Cadillac’s chances.
