Issue: Certain AMG E 53 and E 63 S models may have been equipped with an incorrect driver-front airbag. As a result, the airbag may not perform properly in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly in a crash could increase the risk of injury to the driver. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to check the driver airbag module and the software for the airbag system. If necessary, the airbag will be replaced and the software will be updated. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
