Issue: On certain vehicles, the connection between the fuel filler pipe and fuel tank may not be properly welded. This could result in a fuel leak. If this happens, you may smell a fuel odour. Safety Risk: A fuel leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the fuel tank.
