Issue: On certain vans converted to a rear-entry mobility vehicle by BraunAbility, the fittings for the brake line extensions may be incorrect. This could cause a brake fluid leak that may result in reducing braking. Note: This problem affects conversions that were built between January 9, 2018, and May 20, 2019. Safety Risk: Reduced braking could cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a BraunAbility dealer to inspect the brake line connections. If necessary, an adapter fitting will be installed and the brake system will be bled. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
