On certain vehicles and replacement engines, the fastening screws for the fuel collection pipes could shear off due to stress corrosion cracking. If this occurs, fuel could leak into the engine compartment which, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the fastening screws of each of the collection pipes with new and improved screws. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
