On certain vehicles equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), the clamp(s) on the transmission fluid hoses may not have been properly closed during the assembly process. If operated under this condition, this could cause a hose to disconnect from the transmission fitting which could lead to a transmission fluid leak. A transmission fluid leak could result in a loss of motive power in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions may increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and close any open transmission fluid hose clamps. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
