Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 208 - Occupant Protection and CMVSS 305 - Electrolyte Spillage and Electrical Shock Protection. The front member assembly may not have been welded to specification. This may have an effect on crash performance and could result in non-compliance to the standards, which could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect vehicles for improper welding. Vehicles found to have been improperly welded will be replaced. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
