On certain vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, a defect may result in a loss of communication between the gearshift module and the transmission.

This may delay or disable the driver's ability to shift the transmission.

This could result in unintended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property.

Correction: Dealers will replace affected gear shift modules or reprogram gear shift module software, as necessary.
