Certain vehicles equipped with bi-function halogen projector headlamps fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 – Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) function may have been incorrectly configured during the vehicle assembly process. A lack of DRL illumination could render the vehicle less visible to other motorists and to pedestrians during daylight hours, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will modify the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) configuration settings. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
