On certain trucks equipped with 6.4L diesel engines, excessive temperatures in the diesel particulate filter may cause a visible flame out the tailpipe. Excessively hot exhaust or flames emitting from the tailpipe, in the presence of combustible material, may result in a fire, or may result in personal injury if a person is in close proximity to the tailpipe. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the powertrain control module. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
