Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 209 - Seat Belt Assemblies. These vehicles have front belt retractors that have higher G-force lock-up levels than those required by the standard. In addition, some retractors could have internal damage that could cause a "no-lock" condition. In the event of a vehicle crash, these conditions could result in increased occupant injury. Correction: Driver and passenger seat belt retractors will be replaced. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
