On certain 740I, 740IL and 750IL vehicles, road grit and gravel associated with winter road conditions can penetrate the rubber of the lower front spring mounts and accumulate in the mounts causing notches or pits to develop. Eventually this could cause the coild spring to crack and break at a bottom coild. This could adversely affect the vehicle's dynamic stability and reduce driver control. Correction: Both front springs and lower spring mounts will be replace on affected vehicles. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
