THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR MAY CONTAIN MANUFACTURING ERRORS IN AN INTEGRATED CIRCUIT. THIS MAY CAUSE EXCESSIVE ELECTRICAL CHARGING OF THE ALTERNATOR (OVERCHARGE), RESULTING IN ENGINE CONTROL MALFUNCTION, AND/OR IN THE WORST CASE, EVENTUAL ENGINE STALL. THE POSSIBLE CAUSE OF THIS CONDITION IS A FAULTY IC REGULATOR IN THE ALTERNATOR. CORRECTION: IC REGULATOR WILL BE REPLACED WITH A NEW IC REGULATOR. WHEN REPAIRS ARE COMPLETED, A PERFORMANCE CHECK WILL BE DONE TO VERIFY PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE CHARGING INDICATOR LIGHT AND PROPER BATTERY VOLTAGE OUTPUT.
