Without a diesel engine, the Touareg is left with the 280-horsepower, 3.6L V6 gas engine paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. At Volkswagen, Wolfsburg versions foreshadow the imminent arrival of a new generation, which is expected in the next year or two in this case.
