Volkswagen Passat
The midsize sedan soldiers on in 2019 with a 174-horsepower 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, as the Passat GT and its 280-horsepower 3.6-litre V6 have been retired. The interior is particularly spacious, and the available hands-free trunk makes loading cargo easier. As for safety, autonomous emergency braking is a highlight of the Passat. The only trim level available in 2019 is the well-equipped Wolfsburg edition.
