Volkswagen Golf
The Golf GTI celebrates 40 years in North America and the Golf R is turning 20, so Volkswagen has come up with a pair of special editions. Other than that, there are no major changes to report for 2023. The former generates 241 horsepower thanks to a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, while the latter boosts output to 315 horsepower. With standard all-wheel drive, the Golf R has an edge over the equally potent Civic Type R.
