This year, the Toyota C-HR joins the rapidly growing subcompact SUV segment. It has a unique exterior and a host of standard active safety systems. There’s just one available engine, 2.0L four cylinder that generates 144 horsepower and 139 lb·ft of torque. A continuously variable automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels. The XLE and XLE Premium trim levels start at about $25,000.
