Toyota 4Runner
A true trailblazer, the Toyota 4Runner is one of the last of its kind (along with the Jeep Wrangler). It's got an independent chassis, lockable transfer case and rigid rear suspension. Three rows of seats are an option, but the 4.0-litre V6 comes standard with a 5-speed automatic transmission. With 24.3 centimetres of ground clearance, this SUV is in its element even on the most poorly maintained trails.
