Nissan Versa
Subcompact cars are a dying breed. The Versa soldiers on for 2024, but who knows how long it will last? The interior is more spacious than the Mitsubishi Mirage’s, while the trunk can fit up to 425 litres of cargo. Under the hood, the 1.6-litre four-cylinder delivers a very modest 122 horsepower but proves fuel-efficient, especially when mated to the CVT. Pricing is obviously attractive, but check out the larger Sentra and do the math—you might be surprised.
