With its magnificent output, the SL is in the high-performance luxury cabriolet category. There’s a choice of either the V8 or V12 engines. The SL550 has a 5.5-litre V8, while the SL63 AMG has a 6.2-litre V8. As for the two V12s, they are found in the SL600 (5.5 litres) and the SL65 AMG (6.0 litres). This is a car that does everything well either being a sport car or a luxury cruiser.
