Mercedes-Benz GLA
Sharing its platform with the CLA, the GLA subcompact crossover gets a few tweaks and upgraded equipment for 2024. The turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine benefits from mild hybrid technology in the GLA 250 4Matic and AMG GLA 35 4Matic for slightly improved fuel economy. The top-line AMG GLA 45 4Matic+ cranks out 382 horsepower and burns a good amount of rubber on the track, but proves uncomfortably stiff on poorly maintained roads.
