McLaren 750S

Price $375,000 – $400,000
Fuel consumption 12.4 – 15.7 L/100km
The Car Guide rating 87%(view ratings)
The McLaren 750S is an evolution of the departed 720S. Available in Coupé and Spider (convertible) body styles, it is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine developing 740 hp, or 30 hp more than the 720S. This makes the 750S the most powerful production car ever built by McLaren. Well, until the all-new W1 hypercar hits the market, that is. What's more, thanks to its carbon-fibre monocoque, it weighs less than a Volkswagen Golf GTI.

“This,” Russ Bond says, “could be the supercar.” What he is talking about is the 2015 McLaren 650S, a $400,000 punch-packing beast on wheels. The price tag, interestingly enough, could net you not one but two Audi R8 V10s, Russ notes. But then again, as great as it may be, …
