Kia K5
The former Optima became the K5 in 2021. Despite the much better-looking design, ergonomic interior and quiet ride, sales are disappointing. Some of the blame can be attributed to the K5’s powertrain options. The turbocharged 1.6-litre engine (180 horsepower) comes with all-wheel drive but lacks gusto, while the turbocharged 2.5-litre unit (290 horsepower) is punchy but limited by its front-wheel drive setup. Unlike its top competitors, the K5 doesn’t offer a hybrid variant.
