Incontestably the off-road king for the last 75 years, very few vehicles can keep up with a Wrangler off the beaten path. On the highway, the adventure is less fun. Even Jeep can’t combine extreme off-road capabilities and sporty handling. A 285-hp Pentastar V6 with either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission renders it usable for everyday use, but only barely. Of course, if your daily grind is far off in the forest, then the Wrangler is for you.
