Honda Accord
The Honda Accord used to be king of its hill, but it now faces enormous pressure from the Chevrolet Malibu, Ford Fusion, Mazda6, and Toyota Camry. Yet, its fuel-efficient 177, 190, and 271 horsepower engines work quite well, and its five-speed automatic transmission (in some cases it is manual) does an excellent job. The Accord is available as a sedan or coupe, and, in each case, offers solid road handling. It's styling, while very contemporary, is still a puzzle to many.
