Chevrolet Sonic
The Sonic is Chevrolet’s answer to subcompacts like the Hyundai Accent, Kia Rio and Toyota Yaris and comes in sedan and hatchback configurations. Both of the possible engines, a 1.8L naturally-aspirated or 1.4L turbo for better fuel economy and more torque, develop 138 horsepower. Chevrolet is bucking the trend and offering an automatic transmission instead of a CVT. Those who prefer the feel of a stick shift can opt for the manual.
