For 2014, the Malibu receives small cosmetic touches to the front and rear only. It is an intermediate sedan with a large and comfortable interior replete with storage cubbies. The Malibu comes with four-cylinder engines all mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Base models start with a 2.5L developing 196 horsepower and 186 lbs.-ft. of torque or, depending on versions, a 2.4L eAssist or a turbocharged 2.0L developing 259 horsepower and 260 lbs.-ft. of torque.
