This popular compact SUV, which inspired the GMC Terrain, can be equipped with one of two engines: a 182-hp 4-cylinder or a 3.0L V6 that produces 264 hp. Both are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and FWD, though AWD is available on option. The 4-cylinder Equinox can tow up to 1,500 lbs. (680 kg) while the V6 can take on 3,500 lbs. (1,588 kg).
