For 2009, the large Buick Lucerne sedan gets a few aesthetic modifications and enhanced standard equipment in its basic CX and CXL versions. Moreover, these versions get more powerful 3.8-litre V6 engines, going from 197 to 227 horsepower and from a 227 to 237 lbs/ft torque rating. The Buick Lucerne Super, the group's sports version also sees the power and torque of its 4.6-litre V8 engine go up, from 275 to 292 horsepower.
