Chevy Volt Birthday Made Official: November 11, 2010
by Dan Fritter
After years of delays, evolutions, and updates, it would appear that the electric car once considered dead, has been given its date of resurrection, and that date is November 11th.
Now going through its final stages of testing and certification, General Motors is finally able to schedule the Volt’s production. Produced at the firm’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant, the first public market Volts (preproduction Volts have been churned out now for months, but remain in GM hands as test vehicles) should near delivery approximately three to four weeks after their production, although there are rumours of some Volts being rushed out to the L.A. area for early delivery in time for the LA Auto Show that runs from November 17-18.
