2025 World Car Awards: Top Three Finalists Announced

The top three finalists in six categories for the 2025 World Car Awards were announced today following another round of voting.

As always, the votes from a jury of 96 automotive journalists representing 30 countries around the globe—including yours truly, plus The Globe and Mail’s Mark Richardson and Autonerve’s Regina Chan—were tallied by KPMG. The overall winners will be crowned at the 2025 New York Auto Show on Wednesday, April 16.

Other members of the jury come from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Chile, China, Columbia, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.

As mentioned earlier, the six category winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 16 during the World Car Awards ceremony at the 2025 New York Auto Show. This will be the 20th anniversary of the World Car Awards’ partnership with the N.Y. event.
