Hertz USA to Rent Nissan Leaf
When you rent a car, there’s typically a few question you have to answer: are you 25? Do you have a driver’s licence? What size car do you want? Now, the folks behind the Hertz desk when you take a trip south of the border will have a new one to add to their repertoire: Gas or electric?
According to sources, the U.S. branch of Hertz will soon be adding the diminutive Nissan Leaf electric vehicle to their rental fleets. With rental fleets expected to begin Leaf population shortly after customer deliveries begin later this year (probably by this fall, ironically), it’s expected that those regions with strong rental markets will be the first to receive the revolutionary Nissan; like Hawaii and California, with propagation throughout the U.S. to occur in 2011.
