Audi Announces Canadian Pricing for All-New 2025 A5 and S5
The new generation of Audi’s compact luxury sedan goes by the name of A5 instead of A4 for the 2025 model year since the company decided to use even numbers for electric vehicles and odd numbers for ICE-powered ones. However, as we reported a few days ago, Audi will put a stop to that and go back to the old ways given all the confusion among shoppers that resulted from the gradual rollout of the new nomenclature.
Anyway, the 2025 Audi A5 sedan and its sportier S5 sibling are now available to order in Canada and we can tell you how much they cost.

The base A5 starts at an all-inclusive price of $61,150, an increase of $5,100 (or 9%) from the A4. Incidentally, the latter sticks around for 2025 with negligeable changes. The only body colour you can have at no cost is Arcona White (all the others require a premium of $890), and the standard 18-inch wheels can be replaced by 19-inch Audi Sport wheels for $3,400 extra.

Available options include a fixed glass roof ($1,300), adaptive damping ($1,200), ventilated front seats ($900) and various leather/synthetic leather combinations ($3,400).
A5 Progressiv and Technik models are priced from $65,750 and $67,750, respectively. The former adds a glass roof, ambient lighting, a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system and a few driving aids including head-up display and 360-degree surround view, while the latter stands out with a unique headlamp signature, acoustic front glass, a 10.9-inch passenger-side display and heated rear seats.

All 2025 Audi A5 models are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that generates 268 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque via a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission. With quattro all-wheel drive as standard, they accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Inside, look for an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.5-inch touchscreen.
As for the sporty 2025 S5, all-inclusive pricing starts at $73,150—a much more modest $1,150 increase over the outgoing generation—then rises to $77,750 in Progressiv trim and $81,150 in Technik trim. Features and options are similar to those described above, except that the wheels measure 19 or 20 inches, as desired.

The S5 is motivated by a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 that cranks out 362 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque via a seven-speed S tronic gearbox and quattro all-wheel drive, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds.
In case you’re wondering, the BMW 3-Series is slightly more expensive, while the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is virtually the same price in base trim yet far less attainable when you compare the AMG C 43 to the S5.
