10. 2025 Polestar 3 Long Range - 563 km
The Swedish luxury brand's first SUV is very important for the future of Polestar. Luckily, it’s an impressive one, with a single-motor RWD variant that manages to rank among the top 10 EVs with the longest range in 2025.
9. 2025 Tesla Model 3 Long Range - 584 km
Are you surprised to find not one but two Teslas on this list? Probably not. The brand's best-selling car continues to rack up sales that will be critical for Tesla going forward. Incidentally, the Model 3 that can drive the farthest without having to stop for charging features a single motor and rear-wheel drive.
8. 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC - 597 km
The Stuttgart-based automaker is not enjoying a whole lot of success with its electric vehicles so far, one reason being their unremarkable design. However, all is not lost as the longest-range version of the EQS sedan is getting awfully close to the 600 km mark between charges.
7. 2025 GMC Sierra EV Max Range - 628 km
The 2025 model year sees GMC expanding its EV lineup, which already includes the Hummer EV pickup and SUV, with the Sierra EV (launching first in Denali trim). The latter is closely related to the Chevrolet Silverado EV but doesn’t offer as much range. Still, 600+ km is highly impressive for a battery-powered truck.
6. 2025 Tesla Model S - 647 km
Tesla's large sedan ranks sixth for now, but that could change when the official NRC ratings for 2025 are finalized. Just so you know, other EVs have seen their range drop for 2025 following adjustments. Anyway, despite its age, Tesla's oldest car continues to amaze.
5. 2025 Rivian R1S Dual Max Battery - 660 km
Here's another EV that stands out with a unique package, innovative solutions and high levels of quality. Oh, and range certainly doesn't disappoint. In the case of the R1S with dual motors and 22-inch wheels, we’re talking about 660 km.
4. 2025 Rivian R1T Dual Max Battery - 676 km
That being said, Rivian's pickup does slightly better than its long-roof equivalent when it comes to driving long distances. Nearly 700 km? Come on, that’s terrific. Similar to the R1S, the R1T rides on 22-inch wheels in its longest-range configuration.
3. 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ - 740 km
The folks at Cadillac love to brag about the Escalade being the pinnacle of luxury in the SUV segment. Well, with its impressive range considering the heavy weight, the Escalade IQ gives Cadillac one more argument to convince sophisticated and wealthy buyers that don’t necessarily enjoy spending time at a gas station.
2. 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV WT Max Range - 792 km
Is there such a thing as an electric pickup with nearly 800 km range? Judging by NRC's official ratings, the answer is yes. Granted, the Silverado EV WT (“Work Truck”) is aimed at commercial customers, but it’s still a formidable offering any way you look at it. Among retail-oriented Silverado EV models, the one with the longest range manages to cover 657 km on a single charge.
1. 2025 Lucid Aid Grand Touring XR - 824 km
The electric vehicle with the longest range in 2025 is the Lucid Air. In fact, it’s been that way ever since the full-size American sedan hit the market three years ago. The extremely aerodynamic body and high-efficiency motors make it possible to drive over 800 km without even having to stop for charging. That’s with a Grand Touring XR model featuring 19-inch wheels. Pictured above is a unit with larger 20-inch wheels and slightly reduced range.
