Top 10 New Vehicles Ready to Hit the Road in Canada in 2025

Are you planning to buy a new vehicle sometime in 2025? A number of fresh and exciting models are slated to go on sale in Canada over the next 12 months, some of them more readily accessible than others, of course.

Below, we’ve highlighted 10 of the most anticipated vehicles that are ready to hit the road in 2025. In most cases, prices have yet to be announced.

2025 Acura ADX

The all-new ADX is the small entry-level luxury SUV that many Acura fans have been waiting for. It is positioned below the popular RDX and 48 mm shorter. The interior is almost a carbon copy of the Integra's, while the platform and turbocharged 1.5-litre engine are the same. Unlike the front-wheel-drive Integra, however, the ADX benefits from all-wheel drive. It is expected to hit dealerships this spring, with a base price of around $45,000.

2025 Audi Q5

The Q5 is one of the best-selling compact luxury SUVs in Canada. For 2025, Audi is launching the third generation, based on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) also used for the new A5 sedan. The vehicle is larger and more spacious. Unsurprisingly, Audi designers have chosen to integrate the Digital Stage, also found in the brand's latest models and consisting of two large screens. The new Q5 is due to arrive in Canada in the spring, offering essentially the same engines as before. Plug-in hybrid models will follow later.

2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Seriously, did you ever think a production Corvette would manage to generate as much as 1,064 horsepower? Such is the case of the all-new 2025 Corvette ZR1—no electrification necessary, thank you. The twin-turbocharged, 5.5-litre DOHC flat-plane crank LT7 engine is the most powerful V8 ever produced in America from an auto manufacturer. Chevrolet claims 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) acceleration in 2.3 seconds, a quarter-mile run in 9.6 seconds and a top speed of 375 km/h. Of course, it’s impossible not to talk about the return of the iconic split rear window, which was last seen on the second-generation Corvette.

2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 and 2025 Kia EV6

For 2025, these two Korean electric crossovers get a mid-cycle update including styling and technology enhancements. Other than a high-performance N model, the IONIQ 5 adds an XRT model with off-roading in mind (no, seriously), plus a rear window wiper at last. The chassis is revised, too.

The EV6, meanwhile, boasts updated content and Kia’s latest infotainment system. A highly explosive EV6 GT producing up to 641 horsepower is also coming. What’s more, both the IONIQ 5 and EV6 get a larger-capacity battery (84 kWh) for increased range.

2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9

Let's stay with Hyundai if you don’t mind, because the IONIQ 5’s big brother goes on sale this spring. Based on the same E-GMP platform, the all-new 2026 IONIQ 9 stands out not only with three rows of seats, but also a completely unique design and better aerodynamics than the equivalent Kia EV9. Hyundai claims a range of 485-540 km depending on the model. The integrated NACS port will enable the SUV to plug directly into Tesla's Superchargers.

2025 Polestar 4

Half-car, half-crossover, and no rear window. This new model slotting between the Polestar 2 sedan and Polestar 3 crossover promises a range of 483 km. The entry-level version is powered by a single motor developing 272 hp and 253 lb-ft. The twin-motor version produces 544 hp and 506 lb-ft, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Given the newly imposed Canadian tariffs on electric vehicles manufactured in China, the first units will end up coming from South Korea sometime in 2025. They’re already available to order, though.

Unveiled in the summer of 2024, the first gas-electric 911 is about to hit the road in Canada, marking a major turning point in the history of the German sports coupe. Called T-Hybrid, the system features an all-new turbocharged 3.6-litre flat-six engine combined with various electric motors. Total output is rated at 533 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, enabling the 911 GTS to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3 seconds.

2026 Nissan Rogue PHEV

More than the fourth-generation Murano, it's the upcoming Rogue PHEV that Nissan customers are eagerly awaiting. The model has yet to be introduced, but will go on sale by the end of 2025. Its technology will be borrowed from the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, meaning the Rogue will no longer be one of the lone SUVs in the segment without an electrified option. A great alternative to the 201-hp three-cylinder turbo engine.

2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger

Citing slowing industry demand for half-ton electric pickups combined with “overwhelming consumer interest” in the upcoming, range-extending Ramcharger, Stellantis has decided to pull launch timing of the latter ahead of the Ram 1500 REV. Orders will open in the first half of 2025. The Ramcharger features a 92kWh high-voltage battery that can be charged on the go by a 3.6-litre V6 acting as a generator, giving the truck over 1,100 km of total range. With 663 hp, it can tow up to 14,000 lbs—tops in the segment.

2025 Toyota 4Runner and 2026 Honda Passport

This Japanese duo is completely redesigned and set to give the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco a more serious run for their money. The 2025 4Runner goes on sale in March. Its new turbocharged four-cylinder engine ably replaces the old 4.0-litre V6 with 278 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, but is also part of an optional hybrid system generating 326 hp and a whopping 465 lb-ft of torque. More adventurous drivers can opt for the TRD Pro and Trailhunter models.

The second-generation 2026 Passport is significantly more off-road-oriented than the first one. In fact, Honda describes it as the company’s most adventurous and capable SUV ever. Expected to arrive in dealerships in the early months of 2025, it will be available in TrailSport and TrailSport Touring models. The 3.5-litre V6 is back and slightly more potent (285 hp), now paired with a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
