Honda to Show Prototype of Future Electric SUV Next Month at CES
Just like it did at the beginning of this year, Honda will return to CES in Las Vegas next month to preview its future global EV series called “Honda 0,” which is slated to launch first in North America in 2026.
While the two models introduced at the 2024 show were described as concepts, the ones we’ll see on January 7 are said to be “prototypes,” which in Honda speak typically refers to vehicles that are closer to production.

One of them will be nearly identical to the Saloon sedan concept we already know, featuring radical styling and an extremely aerodynamic silhouette somewhat reminiscent of Lamborghinis and the DeLorean, but the other will be completely new and shaped like an SUV.
From what we can tell, the vehicle sports angular lines, a super-long wheelbase and a truncated rear end. It’s not unlike the all-new Hyundai IONIQ 9 that was recently unveiled in Los Angeles, but even more stretched. While not confirmed at this stage, it appears to be a three-row SUV that would slot above the Prologue in terms of space, luxury and technology.
Honda will also use CES 2025 to provide more details on its "Thin, Light and Wise" development approach, with a focus on the "Wise" value. The company will introduce a new vehicle OS and automated driving technologies that will be featured in the Honda 0 Series models.
Along with that will be an overview of the System on Chip (SoC) that will support these vehicles, plus a new energy service scheduled to be launched at the same time as the 0 Series models, as part of Honda’s efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by the end of next decade.
It will all become clearer at CES on January 7, so don’t miss our coverage of the event. In the meantime, you should definitely read our story from the Honda 0 Tech Meeting we attended in Japan in October for more information.
