Upgraded 2025 Porsche Taycan GTS is the Electric Sports Sedan We Want

The Porsche Taycan, as you probably remember from our previous stories, receives a significant round of updates for the 2025 model year, not to mention the addition of the mega-powerful Taycan Turbo GT. Now it’s the sporty GTS models getting in on the action.

Look for a more powerful rear motor and battery, modified pulse inverter with optimized software, revised thermal management including a next-generation heat pump, as well as new energy recuperation and all-wheel drive strategies. Maximum range, which was rated at 396 km (Taycan) or 322 km (Taycan Sport Turismo) for 2024, has yet to be announced for 2025, however.

More Power, Please!

The 2025 Porsche Taycan GTS now generates up to 690 hp of overboost power when using Launch Control. That’s 100 hp more than its predecessor, allowing 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.3 seconds—four tenths of a second faster than before.

Meanwhile, with the new push-to-pass function in the standard Sport Chrono package, a boost of up to 93 hp can be called upon for 10 seconds at the touch of a button. As in the Taycan Turbo GT, the boost is indicated by a countdown timer in the instrument cluster and dynamically staged with animated rings on the speedometer.

More Character and Style

In order to do justice to the exhilarating character of the GTS model, Porsche engineers have given it a more distinctive sound profile that’s similar to that of the Taycan Turbo S. In typical GTS fashion, there are numerous Black or Anthracite Grey details on the exterior, but don’t miss the new Sport design front and rear aprons with inlays painted in high gloss black.

The standard 20-inch Turbo S Aero Design wheels can be replaced by 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, both painted exclusively in Anthracite Grey.

Inside, many of the materials have been adopted from the Taycan Turbo GT. For example, the Taycan GTS comes standard with extended scopes in sporty Race-Tex and elements in smooth black leather. Also included are the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus (with 18-way power adjustment) and a GT multifunction sports steering wheel derived from the Taycan Turbo GT. The latter features two mode switches and paddles for the push-to-pass function and energy recuperation.

One more thing to tell you about: in addition to Carmine Red, the optional GTS interior package is now also available in Slate Grey Neo.

In Canada, pricing starts at $167,000 for the 2025 Porsche Taycan GTS and $169,500 for the 2025 Taycan GTS Sport Turismo. The cars can be ordered as of today, with deliveries set to begin in the spring of 2025.
