Plymouth GTX Electromod Concept Headlines Mopar Stars for SEMA
Mopar is a regular at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. For the 2024 edition taking place November 5-8, the Stellantis-owned parts and accessories company has cooked up a number of concept vehicles showcasing different ends of the performance spectrum.

Plymouth GTX Electromod Concept
The star of the Mopar display at SEMA this year will most definitely be this 1967 Plymouth GTX that was fully restored and electrified. Featuring a striking Frostbite Blue exterior with many Satin Black touches, it sports custom-shaved, body-coloured bumpers tucked in and trimmed to the fenders. A lowered three-link suspension, 18-inch BTG Vintage Bronze forged magnesium wheels and widened rear-wheel openings emphasize the aggressive and modern look.
While no combustion engine lies behind the grille, the concept boasts a one-off, custom carbon-fibre hood with dual functional air extractors, accented with dual Satin Black stripes as a nod to the original Plymouth GTX. There’s a carbon-fibre front splitter and custom low-profile rear spoiler, plus a charge-port door where you’d normally find the fuel cap.
The aforementioned hood covers a 250kW (335-hp) electric drive module that attaches to the frame with custom-designed isolated motor mounts. Torque to the rear wheels runs through a 3:1 gear reducer. Four battery packs (one under the hood, three in the trunk) carry a total of 384 lithium-ion battery cells. With a combined capacity of 73 kWh, range is estimated at around 400 km. Incidentally, each battery weighs approximately 230 lbs.
The custom interior is a gorgeous mix of blue and bronze, complete with a unique driver interface system, a leather-wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel, more supportive front seats, stainless-steel pedal covers… and manual window cranks to preserve the classic look and feel. Meanwhile, the newly designed centre console adds a large armrest and a skillfully integrated rotary shift knob from the Dodge Durango.
Ram 2500 Power Wagon Concept
Ram’s heavy-duty off-road truck gets a Mopar treatment that maximizes its potential as an overlanding rig. Setting the tone is a Satin Stealth Sand exterior with contrasting Matte Deep Black panels and bright Header Orange accents including tow hooks front and rear. The 20-inch Anthracite Grey Rhino Alpha wheels are wrapped in 35-inch Goodyear tires riding on a stock suspension. Behind the integrated factory Warn winch and underneath the Mopar sport performance hood is the 6.4-litre HEMI V8.
Above the cabin, an aluminum platform securely holds extra gear with custom-designed mounting brackets and offers three 12-inch rectangular LED lights providing accessory lighting. In the rear, an active cargo-rack storage system from Leitner Designs carries up to eight durable GearPODS that are integrated along the top of the bed sides, meaning no bed floor space is sacrificed. That’s clever.
Moparized Ram 1500 RHO
The new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO—don’t miss our colleague Julien Amado’s full review—was naturally going to be a part of the Mopar display at the SEMA Show this year. The transformation is mostly cosmetic, but there are also a few goodies to please demanding off-road truck enthusiasts.
Mopar Blue bodyside graphics provide a striking contrast from the satin metallic Diamond Black exterior. Massive 37-inch BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires beef up the stance. Other highlights include a fully integrated, bed-mounted spare-tire carrier, RamBar accessory bar with dual 12-inch rectangular LED lights, stamped side steps and a true dual Mopar exhaust system with 5-inch dual-wall tips.
Mopar “Power-Couple”
Last but not least, SEMA showgoers will inevitably notice the Mopar “Power-Couple” themed display featuring the matching metallic blue and dual white-striped Ram 1500 REV pulling a modified version of the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee concept. The electric duo embodies the past and future of the two brands in beautiful fashion. What do you think?
