2025 Toyota Tundra Adds Rally Flair, Massaging Seats at Last

The Toyota Tundra gets a few changes for the 2025 model year. We’re not talking about a mid-cycle refresh yet—remember, the previous generation lasted for a decade and a half—but more like a mild update.

First of all, there’s a new TRD Rally Package to choose from. This limited-production model based on the TRD Off Road sports heritage tri-colour graphics and wheel centre caps along with colour-matched details such as a tailgate spoiler and door handles. Inside, details such as yellow and orange seat stitching plus yellow door and console stitching spice things up a bit.

Also included are an active front spoiler, TRD black dual-tip exhaust, 14-inch touchscreen and Softex synthetic leather upholstery.

Elsewhere, a Blackout appearance package and 20-inch TRD wheels are now standard on Limited TRD Off-Road models, while a new power tailgate with knee lift assist (we’re not making this up) can be found on Limited Nightshade and Platinum models. All these Tundras are some of the most expensive in the lineup.

Speaking of the Tundra Platinum, it’s the only one that receives multifunction massaging front seats for 2025, joining the premium versions of its American rivals. So, if you’re looking for maximum comfort, you know where to go.

Alas, Toyota does not see fit to take a page from the Tacoma TRD Pro and give the Tundra TRD Pro the fantastic IsoDynamic Performance seats. These highly sophisticated buckets use an air-over-oil shock absorber system allowing for vertical and lateral seat movement simultaneously to dampen body movement and stabilize the head and neck on bumpy terrain and aggressive manoeuvres. The dampening effect is tunable based on body mass and occupant preference, and it can be bypassed if desired via levers on the seatbacks.

Oh well, another time perhaps. If you’re wondering about prices, the 2025 Toyota Tundra ranges from $56,595 (SR 4x2 Double Cab) to $97,360 (Capstone 4x4 CrewMax with towing mirrors), including freight, PDI and more. Depending on the model, it’s approximately $1,500-$3,000 more expensive than for 2024.
