Mark Zuckerberg’s Custom-Designed Porsche Minivan Looks Weird

What do you do when you want a sporty, opulent minivan that’s far removed from the boring Pacificas and Siennas out there? Luxury car brands don’t offer any, at least not in North America, so you pretty much have to create one of your own.

That’s what Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg did. Looking for a more practical Porsche for his wife, Pricilla Chan, he set out to design a unique three-row model based on a Cayenne Turbo GT, as he explained in a recent Instagram post.

As you can see, the result is definitely not the prettiest thing around. It actually looks plain weird, even though the king of Facebook teamed up with renowned Californian shop West Coast Customs for the build. That’s because Zuckerberg didn’t just want a stretched Cayenne with three rows of seats. He also insisted on having power sliding doors.

Oh, and he even ordered a matching 911 GT3 Touring to make it his and hers. How sweet.

By the way, while Porsche has never officially introduced a minivan, its designers imagined one back in 2018 with the six-passenger Vision Renndienst concept. Similar to a dozen other secret concepts, the vehicle never got the green light and now stays in Porsche’s archives.

The automaker is currently working on a larger and roomier SUV slotting above the Cayenne. It will be based on a new SSP Sport platform, offer an electric powertrain and deliver a unique driving experience, or so we’re promised. A reveal might take place sometime in 2025.
