Volkswagen Releases Pricing for 2025 ID. Buzz in Canada

Volkswagen Canada has just released pricing for the long-awaited ID. Buzz electric minivan.

The ID. Buzz will finally arrive in Canada towards the end of the year. And it will be available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions, both powered by a 91 kWh battery.

First, a 1st Edition Model

As the current industry trend dictates, the ID. Buzz launch starts with a 1st Edition model. This variant is available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. The former delivers 282 hp, while the latter offers 335 hp. The RWD model starts at 77,495 (plus fees) and boasts an estimated range of 377 km. Offering a choice of four body colours, including Cabana Blue with Candi White, Charcoal Blue, Deep Black Pearl and Silver Metallic, it comes standard with 20-inch “Stockton” aluminum-alloy wheels and LED headlamps with adaptive front lighting and a range of exterior lighting elements using the same technology. The ID. Buzz’s famous electrochromic panoramic glass roof (which reveals itself at the touch of a button) is available for an extra $2,000.

Inside, the ID. Buzz 1st Edition offers room for seven passengers with a second-row bench seat. Standard features include a 12.9-inch central screen with App-Connect, three-zone climate control, heated and cooled front seats, heated outside rear seats, a head-up display and a total of eight USB-C ports.

Safety equipment such as front and rear Park Distance Control (PDC) parking aids and Park Assist Plus with parking memory are also standard. The 1st Edition model with 4Motion all-wheel drive offers an estimated total range of 373 km, and has a starting price of $82,995 (plus freight and preparation). This model comes with a broader choice of exterior colours and second-row captain's chairs.

More Models to Come

More variants (perhaps more affordable ones...) should be added to the catalogue after the launch of the ID. Buzz scheduled for the end of the year. Colours such as Pomelo Yellow, Mahi Green and Energetic Orange should also be added to the model choices, all of which can be matched with three different colour themes exclusive to North America: Cognac, Dune and Moonlight.

Information regarding official towing capacities and models to follow should be revealed in the coming months.
