Rimac Unveils 2,107-Horsepower Nevera R
A new player has entered the Rimac lineup. With the Nevera cranking out an already healthy 1,888 horsepower that helped it collect 23 speed records, the manufacturer introduces the Nevera R, a new and improved version of the hypercar. It features an improved powertrain that delivers no less than 2,107 horsepower.
"When we developed the Nevera, an important part of the brief was that it should be a Grand Tourer. We made sure it was spacious, comfortable and finely balanced between thrilling and accessible. Ultimately what we achieved struck that balance perfectly; a high-performance record-breaking car that could set new benchmarks at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and be driven comfortably thousands of miles across continents," said Rimac founder and CEO Mate Rimac.

Engineers and designers carefully evaluated the Nevera's features in order to rethink and improve them. Thus, the driving dynamics as well as the mechanical and body components are intended to be even more radical. In this regard, the 108 kWh battery is geared towards performance, while the new EVO2 carbon-ceramic brakes add extra braking power.
Visually, the Nevera R stands out with its Nebula Green bodywork and carbon fibre trims. The predominant rear wing and larger diffuser increase downforce by 15% and improve aerodynamic efficiency by 10%. The 20-inch front and 21-inch rear rims feature a new style with longer spokes. Otherwise, the cockpit is driver-focused, but it can also be customized thanks to a new palette of colours and materials available to customers.
Improved Performance
With its new Michelin Cup 2 tires and negative camber, grip is increased and understeer is reduced by 10%. In addition, the Nevera R superior cornering speed is achieved thanks to a new generation of the R-AWTV All-Wheel Torque Vectoring system. It has been re-tuned in order to maximize the potential of the high-performance tires. Also, the traction control has also been revised to expand the capabilities of the R-AWTV, ensuring predictability even in wet conditions. Drift mode has been redesigned based on the new tires and the steering has been improved.
