Porsche Cranks Up New Panamera to 771 Horsepower
The third-generation Porsche Panamera was missing a few key pieces, but not anymore thanks to the addition of the dynamic Panamera GTS and the extremely potent, fast and luxurious Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid at the top of the range.
The latter happens to be the new record holder in the official ranking of the fastest combustion engine cars and hybrid luxury sedans on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a time of 7 minutes and 24 seconds. An impressive feat, isn’t it?

We’ll start with this one, which slots just above the Turbo E-Hybrid and is the most powerful production Panamera ever built. Motivated by a further developed, twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 and an electric motor that’s completely integrated into the housing and into the cooling circuit of the transmission, the model produces an astonishing 771 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque, up 81 hp and 96 lb-ft from the previous generation.
Add an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that’s been fundamentally redesigned, and you get 0-100 km/h sprints in just 2.9 seconds, an improvement of three tenths of a second. Top speed is rated at 325 km/h.
At the same time, the new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid proves highly efficient. With a capacity of 25.9 kWh (gross), its high-voltage battery stores 45 percent more energy than before, resulting in increased zero-emission range (exact number TBD). Also, with energy recuperation now up to 88 kW, the car drives more efficiently in fully electric mode. As for charging, the 11kW on-board AC charger takes the battery from 0-100 percent in 2 hours and 39 minutes, Porsche says.
Furthermore, the Turbo S E-Hybrid comes standard with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes featuring yellow callipers, forged 21-inch Panamera Turbo S centre-lock wheels, the amazing Porsche Active Ride suspension, plus rear-wheel steering. Inside, Turbonite contrast stitching is applied to the seats, door panel trim, dashboard and floor mats. The roof lining is completely upholstered with suede-like Race-Tex.
What About the GTS?
Using the same V8 (well, pretty much), the new Panamera GTS stands out with a performance-tuned chassis, an exclusive SportDesign package and a sportier interior. The engine delivers 493 horsepower, a boost of 20 hp versus its predecessor, sending the car from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 302 km/h. The standard sports exhaust system was specifically developed to create a powerful, emotional soundscape, Porsche insists.
Engineers have given the dual-chamber, two-valve air suspension particularly sporty tuning, which combines with the 10mm lowered body and reinforced anti-roll bars for a noticeably more direct driving experience. The electronically controlled PTV Plus differential lock ensures the engine’s torque is distributed optimally between the wheels.
Other than the signature black accents, the exterior of the GTS model features red brake callipers, tailpipes in Dark Bronze and 21-inch Turbo S centre-lock wheels in Anthracite Grey. Inside, look for extensive use of Race-Tex trim combined with 18-way adaptive sports seats.
The 2025 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and Panamera GTS can both be ordered right now. In Canada, pricing starts at $257,000 and $173,400, respectively. Deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025.
