Lucid Air Grand Touring Gets Heat Pump and Faster Charging Speeds
Electric luxury car maker Lucid today announced a series of enhancements to the Air Grand Touring sedan for 2024.
While still delivering 819 horsepower and unbeatable range of up to 830 km (with the smaller 19-inch wheels), the car is now equipped with the heat pump from the top-line Air Sapphire, improving battery efficiency and helping prevent range loss in cold weather. How much exactly is not specified.

Next, Lucid engineers worked on the company’s proprietary motor design, battery cell chemistry and thermal characteristics in order to reduce energy wasted as heat and enable the Air to perform at its best even during sustained spirited driving.
Thirdly, DC fast charging capacity is increased by 15-30 percent, Lucid claims. Improved automatic preconditioning en route to the charging station enables faster charging once the car is plugged in.
In Canada, the 2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring starts at $150,800 including freight and PDI. Don’t forget about the federal luxury tax, which in this case amounts to $9,700. The more affordable Pure and Touring models retail from $96,800 and $107,800, respectively. These new prices are the result of major cuts applied by Lucid in recent months.
