Kia Forte Successor, Called K4, to be Revealed Soon With Bold New Looks
Kia is gearing up to introduce the next generation of its compact sedan, the Forte. Look for a brand new design, new approach and even a new name—K4.
The global design reveal is scheduled on March 21, one week before the official public debut at the 2024 New York Auto Show. The Car Guide will be on hand.

The company today unveiled a series of teaser images that show part of the car’s silhouette along with a few details. The K4 appears to be longer and sleeker than the Forte, with a coupe-like roofline and a daytime running light signature that’s somewhat reminiscent of the 2024 Sorento and 2025 Carnival.
On the sides, the angular design with sharply defined creases seems to be inspired by the EV4 Concept more than the refreshed K5 sedan, which will not come to Canada as Kia is eliminating the model here.
Powertrain details and other specs will be announced later this month. We’re curious to see if Kia will add all-wheel drive or a hybrid variant to better keep up with the competition.
The Kia K4 is expected to go on sale in North America by the end of this year as a 2025 model. Prepare for prices to increase significantly—the outgoing Forte is a total steal starting at just $21,095 (MSRP).
