New 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe to Start at $40,999 in Canada
Has the radical new design of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe grown on you yet? Well, the vehicle will arrive in Canadian dealerships by the end of the month, so prepare to see it a lot more often.
More specifically, the first ones to land will be models featuring the turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine (277 horsepower, 311 lb-ft of torque). The hybrid models using a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine (232 total horsepower, 271 lb-ft of torque), including the unique NHL Edition unveiled at the recent Montreal Auto Show, will follow this spring. All of them come with standard AWD, by the way.

Before we tell you about pricing details, which have just been announced, remember that the 2024 Santa Fe is significantly larger than its predecessor and complete with standard three-row seating, pushing it farther away from the compact Tucson and closer to the Palisade. The level of refinement and technology inside has been raised quite a bit, too.
For these reasons, we’re not exactly surprised that the base MSRP is increased to $40,999 for 2024—plus $2,000 freight and PDI—up $3,000 from 2023. That’s for a Santa Fe Preferred Hybrid. Add another $4,000 if you select the Trend Package.
Next up is the Santa Fe XRT 2.5T, which starts at $46,999. This new model stands out with a darker and more rugged appearance, but more importantly, it rides on 30-inch all-terrain tires, gets 1.4 inches of extra ground clearance, adds black roof rails with crossbars and tows up to 4,500 lbs when equipped with the towing package.
At the top of the lineup are the Luxury 2.5T and Ultimate Calligraphy 2.5T models, which are priced from $49,999 and $53,499, respectively. The latter can accommodate only six people due to the dual captain’s chairs replacing the second-row bench seat. It costs $4,600 more than last year.
Pricing for the NHL Edition, which is exclusive to the Canadian market and limited to 500 units, will be announced in the coming months, Hyundai says.
As mentioned in our previous stories, the Santa Fe PHEV is not coming back for now, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we won’t see it again eventually. Don’t miss our first-drive review of the new Santa Fe that we posted after our trip to South Korea last fall.
