Mahindra Pik-Up Release Pending?

If you’ve been looking forward to the release of the most utilitarian vehicle coming to the North American marketplace, then you might be slightly frustrated by Mahindra’s continuous delays. Having teased their tool-like Pik-Up for three years now, they’ve been thwarted at every turn by U.S. legislation and environmental concerns.
But it would appear that Mahindra has finally cleared the various hurdles thrown in their path. With their diminutive truck now clearing the final stages of the U.S. EPA testing, Mahindra promises to have a firm release date within three weeks. However, that doesn’t mean much, given Mahindra president Pawan Goenka let slip that the official application to sell the truck in the U.S. has not yet been filed.
