Aston Martin DBS Signs Off With 770 Ultimate Model
With production of this current-generation DBS nearing its end, Aston Martin is introducing a DBS to surpass all the others: the DBS 770 Ultimate.

Unique Styling
The car’s appearance has been amplified to present an uncompromisingly unique aesthetic befitting of a final-edition model created to celebrate the end of an era.
Drawing increased air flow through the engine radiators, the clamshell hood features a dramatic ‘horse-shoe’ engine vent and a new front splitter integrates two new outboard vents. Together these serve to enhance cooling and echo the design signatures of previous DBS and V12 engine models.
Further design changes include a new carbon fibre sill element and a model-specific rear diffuser design. Let’s not forget the new and unique 21-inch wheels available in three finishes and wrapped in Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires.
Inside, the DBS 770 Ultimate boasts Sports Plus seats trimmed in full semi-aniline leather and Alcantara, featuring a ‘fluted’ quilt and perforation pattern as standard. Aston Martin’s performance seat can also be selected as an option. Carbon fibre paddle shifters are also fitted as standard.
Enhanced Powertrain and Chassis
A ferocious iteration of Aston Martin’s 5.2-litre V12 engine motivates the DBS 770 Ultimate. Now developing 760 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 664 pound-feet of torque from 1,800-5,000 rpm, it achieves a top speed of 340 km/h. This is possible thanks to modified air and ignition pathways together with a 7-percent increase in maximum turbo boost pressure.
Power is fed through an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and mechanical limited-slip differential mounted at the rear of the car. The former receives unique calibration to enhance shift speeds and driver interaction. Elsewhere, the DBS 770 Ultimate uses the same 410x38mm front discs and 360x32mm rear discs that are fitted to the standard DBS. We’re talking about carbon ceramic brakes, of course.
In order to further improve the direct nature of the steering response and increase the level of feedback, the DBS 770 Ultimate introduces a new solid mounted steering column. Front-end lateral stiffness has been improved by 25 percent to provide maximum performance feel and response. This increase has been achieved with an enhanced front cross member and thicker rear undertray, which also increases global torsional stiffness by 3 percent for perfectly balanced driving dynamics.
Available in both Coupe and Volante form, the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate will be built in strictly limited numbers—300 Coupes and 199 Volantes—with all units sold ahead of release. Production is due to begin this winter, with the first deliveries planned for the summer.
