2023 Lincoln Corsair Freshens Up, Adds Hands-Free Tech
With sales of the Lincoln Corsair up 14.5 percent in Canada through the end of August, Ford’s luxury brand is hoping to keep the momentum going with a mid-cycle update for 2023.
It starts with a refreshed front end that features wing-shaped daytime running lamps and a new, larger grille. The one on the Grand Touring plug-in hybrid model gets a sundown satin metallic foil with blue accents giving the compact SUV even more class.

Two new exterior colours are also available, Crystal Red and Whisper Blue, along with new wheel designs and a Jet Appearance Package.
Likewise, there are two new interior themes including Smoked Truffle and Eternal Red, the latter accented with exclusive aluminum accents. A new available backlit applique shines light through a perforated star light pattern, providing Lincoln’s signature constellation effect.
Meanwhile, the centre touchscreen grows to an impressive 13.2 inches and features SYNC 4 infotainment and Lincoln Enhance software updates. For improved connectivity, the Corsair will also offer the Alexa Built-in hands-free experience with complimentary connectivity to Alexa for three years.
Hands-Free Driving Taken to New Level
The 2023 Lincoln Corsair aims to take relaxation behind the wheel to a new level with version 1.2 of the Lincoln ActiveGlide hands-free driver assistance system. Similar to Ford’s BlueCruise 1.2, it can now perform a hands-free lane change when the driver taps the turn signal and even suggest a lane change in slow-moving traffic. The system will also automatically and smoothly adjust the speed as drivers approach a sharp curve, and keep the Corsair in its lane while subtly shifting it away from vehicles in adjacent lanes.
Other new tech features include Intersection Assist 2.0, which helps avoid potential collisions with pedestrians while turning, and Blind Spot Assist, which will alert the driver with a light on the side-view mirror and apply a nudge in the steering wheel to help caution against an unsafe action in a case where the driver has missed the previous warnings from the blind spot monitoring system.
When it comes to engine selection, the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder gas engine returns with the same 250 horsepower, but the 2.3-litre turbo producing 295 horsepower has been dropped. As for the 2.5-litre plug-in hybrid Corsair Grand Touring, it continues to deliver 266 combined horsepower and enable up to 45 kilometres of pure electric driving.
Ordering for the new 2023 Lincoln Corsair is now open, though Canadian pricing has yet to be announced. The first units will begin arriving in showrooms early next year.
