Hyundai has long been champion of Canada's hockey community at the grassroots level. On behalf of Hyundai Auto Canada and our 252 dealers across the country, we are incredibly excited to expand on that, and at the highest level, as the NHL and NHLPA's official automotive partner starting next season in Canada," said Don Romano, president and CEO of Hyundai Canada." Hyundai and Genesis will be visible at special NHL events such as the Heritage Classic games and the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
In a press release, Hyundai, Genesis, the NHL and the NHLPA also underlined that "the partnership will also provide an opportunity to enhance shared corporate social responsibility initiatives through community engagement and joint projects."
Hyundai and Genesis will take Honda’s spot, which remains with the NHL for the entire North American market until the end of this season. Next season, Honda will be the official NHL partner in the U.S., but Hyundai and Genesis will take over that role on our side of the border.
